Ok so let's look at Las Vegas or Atlantic City casinos.
Bright lights, music, cheers of winning, free drinks/food given to gamblers, attractive workers, etc. etc.
All of that is part of the way the casinos make money. They disguise the truth in all this. At any game in a casino the odds are stacked against you winning. You're basically throwing money at them and they make it so it seems you're just having a little bad luck so that you keep on throwing money at them hoping it changes.
So we can apply the same ideas to dicing.
You need to above all keep people betting money and keep their hopes of victory high.
Some tricks:
The "Special Deal":
Player bets 100k, loses, player bets 100k, loses, player bets 200k, loses. Player says forget this game...
This is when the host should offer a "Special Deal"
Tell the player "Alright man, you've been having some bad luck, how about I help you out? 75x3 bet? 75 or above and you triple your cash? How's that sound?"
They're still going to lose money this way, but now they believe you're on their side.
The fake wins:
In a casino the slot machines make a lot of noise that makes it seem like everyone is winning and the casino is getting cleaned. But in reality the sounds could just be $5.00 payouts in pennies or just the sound of the wheels spinning. But the customers don't realize this and get excited. Excitement means they play, which means more money for the casino.
We can apply this a number of ways.
You can pay someone or multi-log and fake huge wins.
Player walks up and trades host, trade nothing.
Host says "Player betting 25m, gl"
Host says "Winner!"
Player trades, and get's all spastic "Omg yes!! Woot!" Then walks away
Anyone in the area is now excited and hopeful.
You can change the game to something like
40x2 10k max.
This way you'll lose more often but barely lose any money. Very similar to the penny slots at a casino. These make you happy that you're winning even though you're winning barely anything.
You start feeling bullet-proof and then try and bet the farm on a 60x2 bet and boom the host takes all your money.
Be a G.I.R.L. :
Guy In Real Life. Change your character to a girl. Sounds completely creepy, strange, sad, whatever. But it works. Although its just a really pixelated fake girl, guys are wired to associate girls with something else. And thinking with the wrong head leads to bad decisions, which are good for the host.
Try not to be homophobic, just use all your assets to get their money in your bank.
Set a maximum:
Setting a maximum bet is helpful because it gains player's trust having them know you're being legit. After all why would you set a max bet if you were going to steal their cash anyways?
Call out their potential payout not their bet:
When accepting the trade and taking their bet say out something like:
Player1 200k payout when they bet 100k on a 60x2 game.
This makes players think about winning and not about losing.
Wear expensive stuff:
Borrow a party hat, wear your most expensive or rarest gear. Current holiday items aren't a good idea since most people have them. Try and go back atleast 3 years with holiday items.
Start a drop party:
Buy a bunch of gold bars and drop them around you, drop a few rune scimitars and stuff around you. Its a sure way to get everyone's attention around you.
Stay away from other dicers:
Try and find a pretty well populated place near a bank without a lot of dicers around. More dicers mean more competition.
Fake getting cleaned:
When you pay out a bet that someone won you should try and complain about how you're getting cleaned and how unlucky you are. This boosts potential player's confidence. The more they start feeling bullet-proof the more money they throw at you.
