Pathfinder worked fine before Sierra. Now, in Sierra 10.12, Pathfinder uses so much memory that it plugs whole OS to crawl. I am constantly getting 4.5-4.8 GB of memory used by Pathfinder after only 12 hours. Pathfinder dev's are aware, but no solution yet.
I informed its creator (Trakyam) of XtraFinder of the faults, but, as usual, there was no response. Nor, since April, have there been any corrections to this useful little utility.
I use it in combination with Totalfinder. The only possibility I know to get folder item count, which is a time saver for part of my work.
